DAY 1 – Arrive at SJO
You will be arriving at different times, from different airlines and terminals. Gather your bags and get through customs. Delina, Becky, and our Driver will be waiting for you outside. The customs process takes about an hour.
If your flight arrives before 12:30pm, you will go to lunch with the “before1230 group” and then head to the Bed and Breakfast.
If your flight arrives after 12:30pm, you will be driven directly to the Bed & Breakfast where there will be a light meal.
If you need to stop for anything you forgot, need or got confiscated, please be sure to ask on the way to the B&B.
Stay in touch with Delina via WhatsApp on the airport’s Wi-fi.
MEAL PROVIDED: DINNER
DAY 2 – Travel to Puerto Viejo
Breakfast between 7am-9am
Departure: 9:30am
Have breakfast at the B&B in Grecia and prepare for our journey to the coast (Playa Chiquita in Puerto Viejo – Limon province). This trip will take approximately 5.5 hours. We will be in an air-conditioned tour van driven by a professional driver. Don’t worry; we will stop for a bathroom and snack break.
Travel to our tropical villa through the jungle, mountains, past streams, rivers, and waterfalls.
After settling in, finding our rooms and relaxing, we will enjoy our first meal in our villa.

DAY 3 – Chill
Do what your heart feels like doing… resting, journaling, spending the day at the beach or the spa, going on an excursion, spending the day by the pool chatting, shopping, napping… Do your thing together with a new friend or alone!

MEALS PROVIDED: BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
DAY 4 – Culture Tour
Tour time: 11:30 am in front of Cafe Viejo restaurant
Ends around 3:30 pm at Salsa Brava.
We will explore Afro-Costa Rican cuisine and culture on a walking tour.
We will end the day at a restaurant for dinner and/or dessert and drinks.
MEALS PROVIDED: BREAKFAST AND LITE LUNCH (ON TOUR)
DAY 5 – Photoshoot
Photoshoot time: 3pm
On Thursday, July 5th we will have a 3hr photoshoot (3hrs before sunset when the light is good). We will take group pictures and individual pictures in the jungle, by the pool, and at the beach. Wear black, white and/or one of the colors from the TROPICAL SUMMER palette (above).

Laundry day? Hotel Kasha Laundry or Siliva Brown Laundry Service, both in Playa Chiquita
DAY 6 – Return to San Jose
Departure time: 10am
After a full breakfast, we will ride back to San Jose. We will spend the night at a nice air-conditioned hotel.
We will enjoy a short driving tour of San Jose and I will share my family’s tradition of pizza and salad for our final night together. When we arrive, we will have a chance to shop at the market.

DAY 7 – Volcano/Coffee Plantation/Waterfall Gardens Tour
If you are DEPARTING on Day 7:
Brenaea and Faitth will check out and wait for Mr. Moss to take them to the airport.
If you’re STAYING the extra day:
Tour departure time: 6:35am
A tour bus will pick us up at the hotel to visit Volcan Poas, tour a coffee plantation, and tour majestic waterfalls at La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Nature Park. Pack your walking shoes for this one. The morning visit to the volcano can be cold, so this is the time you’ll need your sweater or hoodie. Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and bring your poncho.
After a full day, we will return to the hotel and prepare to leave the next day.

DAY 8 – Departure
Prepare to arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight.
